Nonprofit communications audit
To me, communications audit is another way of saying dialogue. My nonprofit audit service is all about starting a dialogue about your communications content and/or strategy.
My goal is to review your communications efforts and provide professional expertise that is easy to understand, feasible and ready to apply.
Whatever you have, I can audit because I’ve seen it all. This service is like going to get a check up. You’re looking to know if you’re on track to meet your goals. Well, look no further!
I know there are some nonprofit communications audit services out there that give you the works and develop your internal and external strategies from scratch. However, I’ve worked in the sector on the frontlines for over a decade. I know that sometimes you don’t have the resources to take all that on. Sometimes you just need someone else to take it off your plate, look at what you’ve done and give you a feasible way forward. That’s what this service is all about.
Here are even more benefits:
- Analyze your communications efforts in bite-sized pieces
- Provide expert analysis with a frontline perspective
- Offer solutions with examples that are easy to understand
A communications audit is an excellent way to ensure your future is as bright as you know it can be.

Why is auditing important for nonprofits?
Auditing is essential to ensure consistency and leadership. Your organization should want to know if what you’re doing is organized and effective. Also, you want to know if what you’re doing is even supporting your broader communications strategy, goals and ideas. If they aren’t, then it’s safe to say your time is being wasted doing something ineffective. My job is to help you stop wasting time and resources.
Here’s the thing: Some people will tell you that auditing your content and communications strategies is not necessary. Why? Because anyone can edit, change and update content. However, not everyone can do that and tell you why they’re doing it. Similarly, not everyone can tell you what is informing their decisions. Furthermore, not everyone has the insight to properly position your business to achieve your goals, whether they be in terms of sales or impact. Decisions about your communications has to be based on something real, not solely on what other organizations or companies are doing.
This is why auditing is so important. If you work with me, you can be sure that I want to know how things are going. I want to know what’s working, so I can help you do more of that. Of course, I want to know what’s not working, so I can help you make adjustments or stop doing those things altogether. Audits help you plan for the future. I want to help you plan for the future.
